These Terms and Conditions apply to orders placed through the Valvin website.

References to “Valvin”, “we”, “us” and “our” mean Plumbland Trade Supplies Ltd trading as Valvin.

References to “you” and “your” mean the customer placing the order.

These Terms apply to both business/trade customers and consumers buying goods online. Business quotations, project orders and account purchases may also be subject to separate written commercial terms.

Our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy (/pages/cookie-policy) apply separately. If you are buying as a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights.

Placing an order on our website is an offer to purchase goods from us.

A contract is formed only when we accept your order. Acceptance may take place when we confirm the order in writing, dispatch the goods, or otherwise confirm acceptance.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order before dispatch, including where there has been an obvious pricing error, a product listing error, a stock issue, a payment issue, or any other genuine mistake.

All product images, illustrations, dimensions, specifications and technical information shown on the website are provided for general guidance only and may not show every variation of a product.

Any quote, project price, schedule price or commercial offer issued by us is an invitation to treat and not a binding offer unless accepted by us in writing.

Quoted items, project orders and business purchases may be treated differently from standard website checkout orders. These may be subject to separate commercial terms, including supplier lead times, cancellation charges, restocking charges, carriage terms and non-returnable item rules.

Where goods are ordered in against an accepted quote or project requirement, and cancellation or restocking charges are imposed on us by a supplier, those charges may be passed on.

Any future credit account applications will be handled through Plumbland Trade Supplies Ltd and, if approved, will be subject to separate account terms.

All website prices are subject to change without notice.

Prices may be shown exclusive of VAT for business/trade purchasing. Any applicable VAT and delivery charges will be shown as part of the order and checkout information before acceptance.

Payment for online orders is due in full at checkout.

We do not currently offer online credit terms through Valvin.

Standard checkout delivery is limited to Mainland UK. We do not promise standard checkout delivery to Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands, international destinations, Scottish islands or other non-mainland destinations; please contact us before ordering if you are outside Mainland UK.

Qualifying Mainland UK orders over £250 ex VAT, calculated after discounts, qualify for free standard delivery. Pallet, freight, oversize and exceptional delivery requirements may be excluded or subject to additional carriage, which will be communicated before the order is finalised or accepted where applicable.

Same-day dispatch before 3PM may be available Monday to Friday for qualifying items capable of same-day despatch, subject to order and payment requirements, actual availability, and working-day exclusions including weekends and public holidays. Dispatch is not the same as delivery.

Delivery dates and lead times are estimated as accurately as possible, but they are not guaranteed. Expedited or next-day delivery options may be available for qualifying orders, but next-day delivery is not guaranteed.

We are not liable for delay caused by matters outside our reasonable control, including supplier delays, courier delays, shortages, transport issues or events beyond our control. We strongly recommend that no labour, installation or other work is booked until the goods have arrived and have been checked in full.

Delivery will be made to the address provided with your order unless otherwise agreed. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery. Please report visible damage, shortages or incorrect goods to returns@valvin.co.uk within 48 hours of delivery so that we can investigate promptly. This does not affect consumer statutory rights. You must inspect the goods as soon as reasonably possible after delivery.

If goods appear damaged, faulty or incorrect, they should not be installed, altered, processed or put into use.

Use or installation of the goods may affect your right to reject them.

If you are a consumer buying online, you may have the legal right to cancel your order within 14 days after delivery under the Consumer Contracts Regulations.

If you wish to cancel under those rights, you must notify us within that period.

This right does not apply to items made to your specification, clearly personalised items, specially sourced non-stock goods, cut or modified items, or any other goods excluded by law.

Where a consumer cancellation right applies, goods must be returned unused and in a condition fit for resale, with original packaging and documentation where applicable.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged or incorrect, return carriage remains your responsibility.

We may make a lawful deduction from a refund where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.

For business/trade customers, non-faulty returns of standard-stock items may be considered within 14 days of delivery, subject to prior return authorisation and the goods being suitable for resale. This section does not restrict any consumer cancellation, faulty-goods, refund or other statutory rights.

Approved business returns may be accepted within 14 days of delivery, provided that the goods:

Business returns may be refused where goods are marked, damaged, incomplete, installed, modified, contaminated or otherwise not fit for resale.

Accepted non-faulty business returns are subject to any restocking charge applied by the relevant manufacturer or supplier. Where a charge applies, we will advise it as part of the return-authorisation process before the return is accepted.

Unless the goods are faulty, damaged, supplied incorrectly or otherwise our responsibility, return carriage is the customer’s responsibility.

For business/trade orders, the following items may be non-returnable unless defective, supplied incorrectly or otherwise covered by statutory rights:

If goods arrive damaged, faulty or incorrect, please notify us promptly and report visible issues within 48 hours where possible so that we can investigate. This does not affect consumer statutory rights.

We may require photographs, product markings, batch details, inspection, or return of the goods before any replacement, refund or credit is agreed.

Warranties and guarantees are generally held with the manufacturer. We will discuss the issue with the manufacturer on your behalf, but manufacturer approval, inspection or evidence may be required before a claim is accepted.

Where a fault is accepted, the remedy will normally be repair, replacement, refund or credit, depending on the circumstances and the rights available to you.

If you are buying as a consumer, your statutory rights in relation to cancellation, faulty, misdescribed or unsatisfactory goods remain unaffected.

Product descriptions, dimensions, specifications, technical data, approvals, temperatures, pressures, drawings and datasheets are provided for guidance only.

It is your responsibility to ensure that goods are suitable for the intended application, installation and operating conditions unless we have expressly confirmed suitability in writing.

We accept no liability for incorrect product selection unless suitability has been expressly agreed in writing.

Any technical information, datasheet or approval information should be independently checked before being relied upon for design, installation or specification purposes.

Title to the goods does not pass to you until we have received payment in full in cleared funds for those goods and all other sums due to us.

Until title passes, you must store the goods separately and clearly identify them as our property.

If payment is overdue, or if you become insolvent, we may require return of goods to which title has not passed and may recover them from any premises where they are held, so far as permitted by law.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot legally be excluded.

Subject to that, we are not liable for:

Subject to the above, our total liability in relation to any claim concerning goods supplied shall not exceed the price paid for the goods to which the claim relates.

Nothing in these Terms affects any statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Access to the Valvin website is provided on an “as is” basis.

We may amend, suspend or withdraw any part of the website without notice.

You must not misuse the website, interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorised access, or use it for unlawful purposes.

All copyright, trade marks, graphics, layout, text and design rights in the website and its contents belong to us or our licensors and must not be copied or reproduced without permission.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience only. We are not responsible for their content or availability.

We are not liable for delay or failure to perform our obligations where caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including supplier failures, shortages, industrial action, transport disruption, severe weather, fire, flood, power failure, regulatory action or similar events.

In such circumstances, we may suspend performance, extend time for performance, or cancel affected orders without liability, save for refunding sums paid for goods not supplied where required.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remainder shall continue in full force.

No waiver by us of any breach or default shall be treated as a waiver of any later breach or default.

These Terms, together with any accepted order and any special terms agreed in writing, form the entire agreement between you and us in relation to the online sale of goods.

Any variation to these Terms must be agreed by us in writing.

No person other than you and us has any right to enforce these Terms under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999.

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, whether contractual or non-contractual, shall be governed by the law of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
